Say no to drugs

Just so everyone knows, I do not use crack or any other illegal substance for that matter. The reference to crack usage in the previous post was a mere joke. Say no to drugs!

Chex Mix

So I discovered Chex Mix today. I'd have to say, it changed my life. I think it will take the place of crack in my life. Now, before you judge, know that I have had variations of the chex mix before. My mom makes this awesome stuff with Crispix, M&Ms and nuts, but she only makes it around holidays. The Chex Mix brand is a totally different animal. I am picky when it comes to the chex mix, however in that I dont like the little brown chex. So i cant eat it mindlessly while watching TV or reading. I actually have to pay attention to what I'm eating.

The fact that I just overanalyzed my response to chex mix shows that (a) I either have nothing to do or (b) I have way too much to do but dont want to do it. I believe it is choice B. I guess I'd better do something constructive with my life....

On a side note, it a MUCH TOO BEAUTIFUL DAY to be stuck inside....

Happy Sunday

My little brother, Adam, came to visit me last night. We went to see the houston symphony perform Verdi's Requiem. It was awesome. Those who dont appreciate live classical music dont know what they're missing. It was a good visit. We are definitely growing closer as time goes on. He actually hugged me when he left!! He wouldnt have been caught dead doing that a few years ago. :)

I had lunch today with my engaged friends Tamara and Mark. I am so happy for them. They're going to live here after they get married! That excites me greatly. I miss my friends from LSU so much. We were as close as family and they mean so much to me. I really hope we all remain as close as the years go by.

Random thoughts

1) If I could wear scrub pants and my overly large hooded LSU sweatshirt every day, I SO would.

6) I am addicted to mint chocolate chip ice cream

Life Is Good

I have to admit, I am having the time of my life. I love school. I love my research. The people in my lab are great. I have made some great friends. I have found an awesome church to be a part of. God has definitely blessed me.
Now, I just need to finally go buy that mountain bike.... :)

Gray Hair

Many of you may be wondering about the reason for my blog title. It is basically this: I am 22 years old and I find a new gray hair every day. AAAHHHH!!! My mom didnt find one until my little brother's first birthday. Why does the genetic code have to go all crazy for me? Oh well, it's not that big of a deal. It's slightly humorous, actually.

Back from class

OK, I'm back from class now. So I'm excited about this new blog thing.

I first and foremost want to say that I love Jesus Christ more than anything else in this world. He saved me from the muck and mire of sin and raised me up so that I am now blameless in the sight of God and will spend eternity with Him.

The next most important thing in my life is my relationship with my friends and family. God has definitely blessed me with my family, immediate and extended. I love my parents dearly. They are my best friends and I can only hope and pray that I will be as good a mother as mine is. I also have an awesome little brother. God will do awesome things in his life one day. I love him so much.

Next in my list of life-passions is LSU FOOTBALL!!!!! Some of the best times of my life were Saturday nights in Tiger Stadium. I made some awesome friends in the Golden Band from Tigerland. The band was an awesome experience in itself. You cant beat a free trip to New Orleans to see the Tigers play in the National Championship Game.
To my future husband, wherever you are, be prepared for many many LSU football games. You will learn to love it, if you dont already :)

Well, since this week has been a pretty unproductive week, I guess I'd better get back to work. Today's Friday!! WOOHOO!!
